Express Entry is the primary method used in Canada to manage applications for skilled workers under the three main economic class immigration:
Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)
Candidates can upload their profiles to the federal government's website if they qualify for Express Entry. They are moved to a qualified pool of candidates where they can be selected depending on their CRS score. A candidate's Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score is determined by factors such their age, education level, language proficiency, and work experience. Approximately every two weeks, IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) extends invitations to apply for permanent residency to those who received the highest CRS scores.
The best part about Express entry is that the entire process is done very quickly. Applications for permanent residency will be processed by IRCC in no more than six months.
